The 2010 Michigan NCRC Conference

The cost for the conference (before October 1) is $99 for a single day or $149 for both days. Late registration (October 1 and after) is $129 for a single day or $199 for both days.

The hotel rate is $89 per night plus taxes, etc. This special hotel block pricing will end September 20th.

Why Should I Attend? This is the largest and most comprehensive conference of its kind. It is the only event focused on implementation of the NCRC. Learn how and why the NCRC is important in education, training, employment and more.

Who Should Attend? K-12/CTE Educators, Employers, Community College Staff, Michigan Works! staff, Economic Developers, Human Resource professionals, Training Coordinators, Education/Training Policy Leaders

 

Conference Tracks

• Employers and people who work with employers—This track will focus on practices or programs that increase employer engagement, grow the demand for certificates and/or case studies which demonstrate ROI data.

• Educators (K-12, CTE, Community Colleges, Workforce programs)—This track will focus on practices or programs that build the skills of the workforce, provide learning models and/or preparation for competency-based credentials.

• Workforce Development—This track will focus on practices and programs that provide information, implementation and engagement in the Michigan Works! system. Showcase how your organization uses the NCRC to develop foundational skills, coach job seekers, engage employers, design progression models, etc.

• General—This track will focus on two areas; presentation for attendees who are new to NCRC and implementation strategies that are beneficial to a broad audience. Share what’s working and lessons learned.
